I always said I want to own a few chickens, but maybe a few geese are better. These boots from Golden Goose are absolutely beautiful. Worth a pretty penny, these will last a lifetime, and maybe longer. With top secret distressing techniques, these boots are made with the softest Italian leathers and come in three colors: caramel, black, and brown. Lovely. Lovely. Lovely. (sigh)
It's no mystery that I love Danish modern design. Copenhagen was one of the most amazing cities I've been to. Sofie Olgaard's line is absolutely beautiful and completely in line with my sensibilities. She comes by way of Denmark with a beautiful clothing line. Muted, understated, and incredibly feminine, it is great now that summer is here and the days are warm. With great price points, these are completely attainable. Beautiful.
Elizabeth and James is the collaborative design effort from Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. Style mavens in their own right, their succesful label Elizabeth and James now carries a cutting edge line of footwear. Here are some photos from their new collection. Surprisingly affordable with designs that play on the edge of sophistication and punk.
Like the Jasmine ankle pump for example. Sort of reminds me of Billy Idol's song "White Wedding". With the pointed toe and the multiple ankle straps, these shoes definitely bring the eighties back.
Here are some other styles as well.

Little Paper Planes is an online community where artists can submit their work to sell. It was started in 2004 in LA, but now works out of San Francisco. Great stationery, clothing, artwork, limited prints, and accessories, it is a great place to find a unique gift for the special friend who seems to have everything.
Here are some examples of stationery from artist duo Pinecone and Chickadee. These products are produced on on recycled paper with water-based inks for the screenprinting.
For the most of us, a huge living area is not to be. At least not yet. With living quarters shrinking, stools are a great way to save on space and to also provide additional seating to the typical sofa and sofa chair. Here are some great options, from two of my favorite websites, Design Public and Design Within Reach.

The Keep Calm Gallery in London is one of my favorite typography houses. They make fantastic poster designs inspired by British heritage and screenprinting techniques. I already own a few of them and have them framed.
I love succulents. They make great gifts, they are low maintenance, and they are so pretty to look at. Greenware Design is a two woman team out of Savannah in which one partner hand crafts the ceramics and another creates the beautiful plantings inside. I bought one of these for a friends housewarming.
Gina Foster began her return to art and sculpture in early 2002. She didn't launch her first line until 2007 however, but popularity of her collection took off almost immediately. She is commissioned to work on costume for the new Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, coming out this summer. She is also appointed to be the Official Milliner for the Epsom Derby Festival in Surrey.
These hats are an example of the ability to craft something beautiful and artistic out of a typical everyday accessory. I want to throw one on and transport to the races!
I absolutely adore James Perse knits. They are the most comfortable and soft cotton. Perfect for any occasion. Wear them with a great pair of slacks and a cardigan, you look finished for a casual Friday at work. Wear them with your favorite ripped up jeans, you are ready for a day at the beach or a walk through the park. They are the best.
To add to the general splendor of their line, they have extended their assortment to include dresses, bottoms, and a great fleece collection.
While designer Geren Ford currently showcases a more economically tangible line of clothing through Urban Outfitters, her ready-to-wear line is where the true contemporary beauty lies. With no skimping on quality materials, beautiful silhouettes, and an organic color palette, it's no wonder why she is one of my favorite designers.
Her Summer'09 line is fun, young, and effortless chic. Pull your hair back in a bun, throw on some sandals and get ready for some major stares.
Philip Novoa created the Novoa NYC line with a combination of bamboo, gauze, jersey, and silk materials. Beautiful dresses inspired by the lifestyle of St. Petersburg, these dresses have a certain air that make them drape perfectly.
I love the look of a large dining table with mismatched chairs. It sort of mellows down the formality of the dining table itself, and leaves the area usable. You can lounge there, chat with friends, do some work...
I love Oly Studio, a furniture company based out of Berkeley. They have fantastic designs and an aesthetic that goes perfectly with my own style sensibility. These benches and chairs would go great with this wonderful dining table. See how the thin legs pull all the pieces together? It's lightweight... open... casually elegant.
Seneca Rising is an LA based label specializing in custom developed knits. Their debut collection features fine cottons knits mixed with mesh inserts. Perfect for summer and a perfect blend of sexy and basic.
