Maripossa

Maripossa is an Australian-based jewelry company hatched from the creative mind of Lauren Besser. Lauren was kind enough to pass on some images from her latest collection, and every piece is one that I wish I had in my own jewelry box. 

Each piece takes Lauren anywhere from a few hours to a few days to make. Handwoven from a variety of materials like silver and copper, the textural element of each design is where the true beauty lies. Each handmade design comes with slight variations, ensuring that no two pieces are exactly alike. I just wish I could see the collection in person! 

The Svengali is my favorite. The distressed inspiration somehow remains feminine and fragile. This fall, I would wear this piece with a long sleeve maxi dress and the Jeffrey Campbell Lita boots!

Stay tuned! While currently stocked only in Australia, let's hope that Lauren opens up an e-commerce store for all her admirers overseas!

Shadowplay

Otis College of Art grad, Heather Goldberg, drew inspiration from "oceanic aragonite structure, planetary space, crystal formations and spiderwebs" to form her jewelry collection aptly named Shadowplay. Using a unique mixture of materials and fibers such as bamboo, cotton, silk, black silver and Swarovski crystals, Shadowplay is a unique collection that is sure to garner plenty of intriguing glances. I'm back after way too long to let everyone know that I need these in my life. I already bought the ring, but the Ume shoulder chain is calling my name... loudly. New York based designer, Sandee Shin, launched Armor in 2009 and creates beautiful pieces of jewelry for the body. These pieces are so hot! Dress up your most basic look with a piece of Armor.

Each piece is either hand-made or individually sourced. Because each piece is different, it is free for you to make it your own. I love the mixture of textures.

Anna Beck Designs

Designer Becky Hosmer started traveling the world through college and was inspired by everything she saw. She learned intricate techniques while traveling in Bali and fell in love with the people and the culture. She has recently moved to Bali from LA to oversee production of Anna Beck Designs, which is made entirely in Bali. I especially love the pattern details.

Erica Weiner

Erica Weiner started designing jewelry out of her apartment in 2005. Before this she was a costume designer in the fashion industry. About half of Erica Weiner jewelry is made of vintage, dead stock, and re-purposed materials. All of the jewelry is handmade in NYC. So you know each piece has a personal touch and character. I love it all. Beautiful.

House of Harlow 1960

I was surprised to view the new collection from Nicole Richie, House of Harlow 1960. I did not expect the pieces to be as affordable or as wearable as they look.

These would be great pieces to spruce up a simple white tank, or a basic black dress as the days get warmer and longer.
